Summer Brown
Graduate Student Researcher
Summer Brown is a graduate student from Southern California. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a BA in history from the University of Redlands in 2022. Before joining the Evans Research Group, she worked with Dr. Rebecca Lyons on environmental chemistry research. Summer intends to pursue an academic career after finishing her graduate work and hopes to help train the next generation of scientists. In 2024, she co-founded the chemistry department’s graduate student organization, Organic Researchers and Chemists Association (ORCA). She enjoys reading and drinking coffee—sometimes together.
